Several Solar panels have been fixed on the roof top of the building which
generate 20kw of power. This electricity which is generated by the solar panels is
enough to run the institution on all sunny days. After college hours and during
holidays the electricity generated by the solar panels is contributed to the state
electricity grid through net metering. The Electricity dept pays us an amount
equivalent to the quantity of electricity contributed by us to the state electricity
grid. There by we have become a producer of electricity and not a mere
consumer. All the class rooms are well ventilated and do not need artificial light
on all sunny days.
